A visit to the Breedekloof Wine Valley is not complete without popping in at Jason’s Hill Private Cellar. Surrounded by picturesque mountains of the region, this family-owned winery has a rich heritage and offers a stunning setting for a wine tasting and cheese platter. The estate is named after an old shepherd, Jason, who once roamed the farm.
Lots of outside seating for hot weather, and a cozy inside section too for those cold wintery days. Various jungle gyms and trampolines for children to play on and keep them entertained. There is a tasty cheese platter available to accompany your tasting.
Jason’s Hill has a scenic hiking trail featuring two waterfalls and a flowing stream (in Winter). This 6.6km hike through the mountains offers the chance to explore the natural beauty of this area but can take up to 4hours.

In the Breedekloof Wine Valley, nestled at the foot of the Drakenstein and Hex River Mountains, with vines fed by water from mountain streams, is where you will find Bergsig Wine Estate. The Lategan family has owned the land and produced wines here since 1843, and almost 200 years and seven generations later, they are still going strong.
A beautiful and relaxing setting to do a wine tasting with various pairing options as well. The charming country-style bistro provides a laid-back dining experience, featuring a cozy fireplace indoors for the winter months and a lovely outdoor terrace for summer. There’s also a small play area outside with a couple of jungle gyms for the kids to enjoy.
For a lovely winelands escape, Bergsig has a three-bedroom guesthouse on the estate, which accommodates up to six guests. Known as Die Kelderhuis, it offers beautiful views of the vineyards.
The Mountain Bike Route at Bergsig starts and ends at the tasting room and offers a 13-kilometer circular route with a total ascent of 270meters. The route winds its way through vineyards and fynbos covered mountain slopes with a variety of single and Jeep tracks.
Badsberg Wine Cellar lies in the picturesque Rawsonville area at the foot of the well-known Badsberg mountain from which the cellar derives its name. The cellar is situated a mere 800m from the Goudini Spa holiday resort, 20km from Worcester, and about 80km from Cape Town. Being surrounded by luscious green vineyards, with a wide range of wines to sip on and a delicate cheese platter to indulge in, it all comes together as the ultimate wine tasting experience.
ildekrans Wine Estate is a picturesque 1 000 hectare estate tucked away in the beautiful Bot River Valley amongst fields of indigenous rhenosterbos. Just an hour away from Cape Town International Airport, and 20 minutes from Hermanus, Wildekrans is known for its award-winning wines, olive oils, and dining experiences. Luddite Wines is a small family farm approx. 17 hectares. Niels and daughter Alice work in the cellar and Penny is the farmer, viticulturist.

Originally a canola farm, Gabriëlskloof wine estate sits on a rise in the Botrivier Valley between two mountain ranges: the Houwhoek range to the North and the Babylonstoren range to the South. From this vantage point, the views of the surrounding valley and vineyards are just beautiful.
The tasing room is a relaxed and friendly space to enjoy a wine tasting either inside or outside on the patio. They are dog friendly and offer smaller children toys to play with. If feeling peckish, snack plates, charcuterie boards and sweet treats are on offer.
FARRO Restaurant at Gabriëlskloof is a fusion of comfort food meets indulgence. A simple and seasonally led menu that changes often.
The Gabriëlskloof Farmhouse offers guests a tranquil setting for a winelands getaway. The house was originally built in 1910 and restored to encompass 3 en-suite bedrooms and spacious living areas that are ideal for a self-catering weekend away.
Beaumont is a family owned and managed farm situated in the heart of the town of Bot River (“Botter Rivier”) in the Overberg. The farm, home to the region’s oldest wine cellar, was originally established in the 1700s by the Dutch East India Company as a supply farm producing fruit, vegetables, dairy, wine and flour. The farm has been transformed through hard work and an adventurous spirit over the last 50 years. n addition to the beautiful wine tasting room area, the farm has a charming Deli which sells wonderful produce and treats. The Deli kitchen serves brunch and lunch with a seasonal menu offering, think beautiful salads, gourmet flatbreads, free range burgers, homemade cakes and gelato. There is also a huge range of delicious homemade frozen meals to take home with you. Outside, in addition to a large courtyard seating space, there is a luscious garden with a natural playground for children. For the more adventurous there is a MTB trail and hiking routes.
