Hidden Valley’s vineyards run up the northern slopes of the Helderberg Mountain, where they “work with nature” as a proud WWF Conservation Champion. The winery is a gravity fed cellar, built from glass, wood and stone and surrounded by vineyards, fynbos and olive groves (3000 olives trees to be exact). Annalie Van Dyk is the winemaker, who has experience in both Napa California and in France’s Loire Valley.
The tasting centre deck offers gorgeous panoramic views, with 1 tasting option of five wines or a chocolate and wine pairing. The Deck at Hidden Valley is an eatery on a floating deck by a dam. Picnics can be arranged, and you can find a comfortable spot on the lawn or within the surrounding fynbos. Hidden Valley offers nature trails and cellar tours, and even a Vineyards Sunset Wine Tasting experience.
