The Dunstone wines are produced on the estate, with their first vines being planted in 2003. Tastings take place at the Guest House, and one needs to book beforehand.
Dunstone offers accommodation, both guest suites and self-catering options, with gorgeous views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains beyond. Perfect for relaxing and unwinding in a peaceful countryside retreat.
The rich history of three exceptional wineries paved the way for the birth of Wellington Wines, and dates back to 1906, 1907 and 1941 when Wellington Co-operative Winery Ltd., Bovlei Co-operative Ltd. and Wamakersvallei Winery were founded respectively.
The accomplishments of each winery, together with a shared passion for wine and an interest in enriching the Wellington Wine industry, led to the three wine giants combining forces, merging in recent years to form Wellington Wines.

The town of Wellington is situated at the base of the Groenberg mountains in the scenic Bovlei valley, and is home to Val du Charron Wine & Country Estate. The Entwistle family purchased this 45-ha farm in 2006 and named it Val du Charron, which means Valley of the Wagonmakers, and pays tribute to the rich history and culture of this area. The reference to the wagon making highlights that Wellington was the final town where the Afrikaner ox wagons were serviced before they crossed the stunning Bainskloof pass into the interior.
