Capaia Wines is situated in the wine-growing region of Philadelphia, 30km North of Cape Town and 10km from the cool Atlantic Ocean. The heart of this magnificent 140-hectare agricultural estate (60 hectares of vine) is the winery where all red wines are fermented in oak fermenters, in the form of 56 French-oak fermentation tanks. This technique as well as allowing all juice to be entirely gravity fed has proved a method to create outstanding wines.

Canto wines is a boutique winery situated in the rolling hills of Durbanville, where boutique wines are produced and quality takes first place over everything else. A picturesque drive-in through the vineyards; lies a special place to be discovered – Canto wines! We have a deliciously stocked deli where you can build your own picnic basket or platter to enjoy with your wine or Cap Classique.

Whether you are looking for a wine tasting, heartwarming dishes, incredible mountain biking trails or live music, accommodation or a 360° view, Bloemendal has it all.
The wine tasting centre is housed in one of the oldest buildings on the estate. You can explore the unique wine pairings or enjoy a selection of wines that suit your palate. Tastings are served in the barrel room, historic tasting room or on the lush patio or garden. The picturesque lawns and jungle gym will keep the children busy.
Bon Amis restaurant at Bloemendal is a family favourite and very child friendly. Relax and enjoy a breakfast or lunch surrounded by natural beauty of a pond, Poplar trees and friends.
The Rose Garden is an outdoor dining space with undercover seating, and also serves as a private events area. The lawn is dotted with lounge pockets and live music performances are hosted on the weekends by local musicians. You can order from the Bon Amis restaurant, and enjoy beer on tap, wines and other beverages.
The mountain bike and trail running course offers riders and runners different distances and trails to enjoy. Whether a beginner or advanced, there is something for everyone on these rugged trails. A pump track also available for the little ones. Linger longer at the bike bar or café.
Boemendal’s accommodation includes a historical Manor House with fully catered rooms, self-catering Minor House for wedding parties as well as self-catering lodging suited to suit small families. The 360° at Bloemendal Estate is on top of the Kanonberg mountain and houses the 360° Skye lounge. This can also be used for an event, function or wedding.

A partnership between the old and the new was formed in 2017 between two reputable Durbanville families; the Parker Family of Altydgedacht and the Van Der Merwe Family of VDMV Property Holdings. This marks the beginning of a new era for Altydgedacht. The farm offers a rustic, relaxed environment where nature and world-class wine may be enjoyed.
