The tasting room is situated inside the barrel maturation cellar and has a rustic and relaxed charm. They are dog friendly and welcome your furry friends on leashes.
They have not 1, but 2 restaurants on the estate. At Cassia Restaurant, you can be wined and dined, or sit on the deck for a delicious lunch or dinner. Then Tables at Nitida is a relaxed Family Bistro which is a favourite for breakfast and lunches, especially for those with children as they have a fantastic jungle gym and huge grass area to run around on.
In 1702 Meerendal began their wine journey when sixty thousand vines were planted. More than 300 years later with over 150 thousand vines, they invite you to experience the cool climate wines of this region.
The tasting room has a relaxed and cosy indoor area with leather lounge pockets and tasting tables, while the outside patio has plenty of space with pergola’s overhead. Choose from single wine tastings to pairings both sweet and savoury, as well as a kiddies pairing.
Two restaurant options at Meerendal to choose from. Bossa Winelands provides a relaxed and unpretentious space for family and friends to enjoy casual dining. Whether its salads, burgers, seafood or pizzas, there is something for everyone. The outside patio provides beautiful scenery for summer sundowners, and the inside seating with warm fires is always a good idea for Winter. LaRomantica is everything Italian with a touch of South African to create their flavour-filled menu.
The Cocoafair Chocolatier at Meerendal is the place to be for artisanal chocolate lovers. Their handcrafted chocolates and pastries are made with ethically sourced, sustainable grown cocao beans to cater for every palate, even vegan options.
Meerendal has hosted many sporting and live events, including KFM K-Day and the ABSA Cape Epic. Whether a corporate event, wedding or special occasion, there is a venue for all sizes. The luxurious Meerendal Boutique Hotel combines elegance and charm for all visitors.
The Meerendal hiking, running and mountain biking trails offer various distances for beginners through to the advance athlete, with spectacular views along the way.
Maastricht is a family-owned wine estate located in Durbanville area, where the Louw family has been cultivating vineyards for the last 35 years. All the wines show the true terroir of the region. All vineyards are managed by the family and their long established team, only they decide what is best. Small, handcrafted vineyard parcels are chosen every harvest for their own wines. Selected mainly by the unique characteristics of Durbanville grapes – fruit driven white wines and well-balanced red wines.
We offer wine tastings of 8 different wines. We have snacks, Cheese and Meat platters, Cheese platters and our very famous Dutch Bitterballen, Springrolls and Potato and Cheese balls.
In wintertime we have a lovely fireplace inside, and summer you can choose between our inside area or outside sipping on your favourite wine with a view.
We are open for the Festive season 7 days a week.

The farm, which has long been known in the Tygerberg region as a successful cattle, sheep, and grain production operation, was developed further when the present fourth-generation owner, André Brink replaced the older vineyards with 50ha of trellised vines. The seasonal menus drawn up by chef Juan van Deventer, feature a combination of contemporary country style and bistro cooking, providing the guest with hearty, wholesome meals, a perfect foil to the farm’s wine.

The Diemersdal Wine Estate is a sixth-generation family-owned wine estate in Durbanville which falls within South Africa’s Cape Town Wine of Origin district. The history of viticulture and winemaking on Diemersdal goes back to 1698 and the estate has been synonymous with the history of the South African wine industry. Sauvignon Blanc has been the focus for the past two decades and Diemersdal currently makes six different styles under our own label. These wines vary from entry-level, fresh young wines to Sauvignon Blancs that have been skin-fermented and matured in barrel.

D’Aria Wine Estate is only 10km from the Atlantic Ocean and ancient shale soils help to produce excellent fruitful wines proudly brough to you from the Durbanville Wine Valley. The tasting room is open daily and offers a small inside section, but a beautiful outside patio shaded over by big trees and overlooking a pretty dam. Cheese boards, platters and accompanying snacks are available. There are wine pairings available as well as kids’ pairings.
There are two restaurants at D’Aria as well as a Gin Lounge. The Terrace at D’Aria offers a simple and delicious menu of wafer-thin pizzas, sushi, various cuts of meat and freshly made salads. A relaxed and enchanting setting for a catch up with friends. Patina Steak at D’Aria has both an inside section and a small outside area offering a relaxed atmosphere for lunches and indulgent dinners.
Botany Lounge is D’Aria’s Gin lounge complete with soft velvet couches, large mirrors and a stunning bar area that combined create a luxurious setting to enjoy a cocktail. Not far from the Botany Lounge patio is a very large play area for the kiddies.
The 12 self-catering cottages are situated on the wine farm among the vineyards, and each sleep a max of 4 guests.
