Waverley Hills is best known for producing organic wines with a unique style – Extremely smooth with soft ripe tannins and robust fynbos (garrigue) characteristic. We also produce olives in brine, air dried olives and a small amount of olive oil. The Estate is situated on the Tulbagh Wine Route between Tulbagh and Ceres, close to Wolseley, South Africa, at the foothills of the breathtaking Witzenberg Mountain Range.
We are the first organic wine farm to become a WWF Conservation Champion – acknowledged as an environmental leader in the industry for our commitment to conservation, responsible production practices, integrated environmental management systems, and spearheading innovations in water, energy efficiency and climate adaptation.
Come taste Waverley Hills wines in a beautiful and relaxed environment, surrounded by fynbos and at one with nature. Our elevated cellar offers you amazing views of the various surrounding mountain ranges which are a wonderful sight in summer and beautifully snow-capped in the winter months.
Our restaurant uses only the freshest ingredients sourced from local producers, as well as our seasonal permaculture garden. We strive to serve delicious, quality food in a relaxed country atmosphere with beautiful views all year round. In summer you will experience the vineyards bursting into life and an abundance of bird and wildlife on the farm. In winter, the fireplaces will be burning and our surrounding mountain snow-capped. We run seasonal specials which will entice foodies from all over the Cape.
