Honesty, surprise, delight… that’s what we want from our wines, and from life.
We pay meticulous attention to detail in our vineyards of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. They produce some of the best, most unblemished grapes any farmer is ever likely to see, and they’re put to good use by our winemaker, Anton Samal.
From our first vintage in 2012, our wines and Cap Classique received both acclaim and awards, and they’re enjoyed as much in the Europe as they are here in Plettenberg Bay.
Our tasting room is welcoming, authentic and intimate. Our lunches are guided by the season, inspired by the moment, and made from scratch using ingredients that are locally-sourced (often as local as our own vegetable, herb and flower garden). Whether it’s for wines or a meal, we like to keep it real. We’re open from 11am until 4pm, Wednesday to Sundays. Our times may change according to the seasons.
Newstead is available as a venue for weddings and events. And we also enjoy holding a few of our own.
