From the very beginning, Le Riche have orientated themselves around the “king of the grape kingdom – Cabernet Sauvignon”. Ever since their maiden vintage in 1997, Le Riche has made it their business to produce the finest expression of Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon. This boutique farm is managed by the Le Riche family, that combine decades of experience and knowledge to become one of South Africa’s finest Cabernet Sauvignon producers. They source their grapes from 14 growers in the Stellenbosch region to create their flagship blend. Head winemaker Christo Le Riche applies a traditionally simplistic, yet innovative winemaking ethos when creating these wines. Although predominantly a red wine farm, they do make a Chardonnay as well. The Tasting room is open for tastings on Thursdays and Fridays from 09:00 to 12:30, by appointment.
