The KWV Wine Emporium in the heart of Paarl is one of the largest in the world. Housed here too is the famous Cathedral Cellar, an offering of sparkling wines, natural wines, fortified wines, liqueurs and brandies, as well as a variety of tasting experiences, and cellar tours conducted in English and German. There are enticing parings to choose from, and they include a Pot Still Brandy & Chocolate Pairing; Cap Classique and Basilei Pairing or a Premium Wine Pairing with sweet and savoury goodies. On offer is also a Gin Tasting and Kiddies pairing experience. Cathedral Cellar at the KWV Emporium offers a historical and interesting cellar tour with the opportunity to taste some of KWV’s award winning wines. The 32 / 12 000 litre stuk-vats are kept for decorative purposes only and contain lye wine (a fortified wine to preserve a vat). The Cathedral Cellar is one of the most exquisite venues in the winelands for a gorgeous wedding, allowing a party of up to 300 guests.
