Keermont Vineyards is a family-owned wine estate in the Upper Blaauwklippen Valley, just outside of Stellenbosch. A real hidden gem.
The farm is set in a naturally formed amphitheatre between the Stellenbosch and Helderberg Mountain ranges, a truly picturesque place. When the Wraith family moved down from Gauteng and purchased the farm there were 8HA under vine, Alex Starey joined as viticulturist and started the replanting project in 2005. We now have 29 HA under vine. All our wines are grown, produced and bottled on the farm, 100% Estate made wines. In the cellar, we try to keep it natural too. Small, selected parcels of vineyards are picked at optimal ripeness and vinified separately. Exciting terroir equals exciting wines! Of course, people go hand in hand with this place. Our dedicated team are passionate and strive towards making Keermont the best it can be. We aim to grow wines that reflect the natural wonders of this beautiful place. The Upper Blaauwklippen Valley is a magic place to make wine and a magic place to visit! Being a hidden gem, means VIP experience. We are a small team so request appointments during the week and Fridays & Saturdays walk-ins welcome. Closed Sundays & Public Holidays.
