Welcome to Jakkalsvlei Private Cellar – This 34ha vineyard situated 40km from the Indian Ocean at the foot of the Langeberg mountains offers a delightful experience with wine, friends, and the outdoors.
Jakkalsvlei, directly translated as Jackal’s Marsh, is a family-owned winery nestled in the beautiful, world-famous Garden Route. The Jonker family has been proud owners of Jakkalsvlei since 1972, and today it is farmed by the 3rd generation Jonkers on the farm.
Today Jakkalsvlei wines are enjoyed by people all over the Garden Route, including some fine restaurants. You can’t help but fall in love with the breathtaking views and the beautiful mountain range surrounding the farm.
The tasting room at this Garden Route Wine Cellar overlooks the vineyards and mountains! Enjoy wine tasting a selection of our award-winning Jakkalsvlei range. Our wine tasting consists of 8 wines that include red, white, Rosé as well as dessert wines (Hanepoot and Red Muscadel). We have received multiple awards from Michelangelo to SA Young Wine Awards.
Visitors can enjoy the unique and acclaimed Jakkalsvlei wines combined with customized cheese platters, delicious build-your own pizzas and gourmet burgers. Our blackboard specials on weekends are always a winner.
