Esona – Xhosa for ‘The Very One’ is a husband/wife owned Boutique Wine Estate in Robertson.
Hand-picked from single vineyards handcrafted into wines that articulate expressions of the grapes, emphasizing individuality, and celebrating its complexity. Producing limited-release wine from hand-picked grapes by single vineyards nestled beside the Breede River on the R317 between Robertson and Bonnievale in the Robertson Valley.
Our century-old cellar tasting venue and Caryl’s Bistro is open Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00 and Saturday 10:00 – 16:00 where we offer wine tastings of our single-vineyard limited release wines in grape-specific RIEDEL crystal glasses.
Our dream is to produce high-quality wine and release a maximum of 1500 bottles of each varietal. Experience handcrafted wine with a beautiful history.
