Mitre’s Edge Wine Estate is a family-owned and managed boutique winery, nestled at the foothills of the Simonsberg Mountain, between Paarl and Stellenbosch. It is in this beautiful setting that winemaker Lola Nicholls, assisted by husband Bernard, focus on producing smaller quantities of high-quality, award-winning wines. There are many things to consider when pairing wine and food, and Mitre’s Edge is well known for their wine and cheese pairing, which has been individually selected to match each other. Wine tastings and pairings are by appointment only. The Cape Georgian-styled manor house is the ideal setting for wine tastings, while the private wine cellar exudes an old-world charm for small gatherings and tastings. In addition to the intimate and relaxed wine tasting experiences, country-style accommodation is offered for four people in the guest house.
