Situated outside Wellington under Bain’s Kloof Pass, Doolhof (‘Labyrinth’) was so named as a reference to the beautiful convoluted hills and valleys that surround it. Its proud history dates back to the early 18th Century when grapes suitable for the production of wine were introduced by Huguenot settlers from 1712. The varying microclimates, growing conditions, and soil types make it ideal for growing wine grapes. With a focus largely on Malbec and Pinotage, our winemaking philosophy is sustainably orientated with varietal expressiveness at its core. We are wine of origin Limietberg and the only producer in this ward.
