A boutique vineyard established in 1989, Bouchard Finlayson is nestled in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. The Indian Ocean is close by and thus influences the cool maritime climate that washes through this valley. This paired with the clay soils, makes them famous for producing award-winning Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
There are various tasting options available, where you can either sit inside beside a cosy fire or in Summer outside overlooking the valley. Platters and picnics are available, as well as cellar tours by request. They have a kids pairing to keep the little ones busy too. You can take a walk on one of the trails around the 100-hectare conservancy of fynbos surrounding the vineyards and view the beautiful Cape Floral Kingdom.
