Kirabo is a small, family-owned business, that consists of a private cellar, seasonal micro-brewery, and events venue.
Our winery, Kirabo Private Cellar, is where it all started. The Le Roux family has been on the farm for six generations, mostly providing the local cellar with their vineyard’s grapes. It was only in 2002 that the Karén and Pieter le Roux decided to tackle a new adventure and start making their own wine.
The wines are handcrafted by winemaker Ronald le Roux, son of the late Pieter le Roux, and co-director of the company. At Kirabo, each wine is personal. Our wine is a product of hard work and passion, allowing it to form a personality of its own. It holds more than just taste and aroma. It tells the story of six generations, of perseverance, and of hope.
Kirabo Private Cellar is mainly a red wine cellar, but recently we introduced two ranges of Chenin to our wine list, seeing as we reside in Chenin Country.
