Verde en Lust Wine Estate lies within a natural amphitheater against the slopes of the dramatic Simonsberg Mountain between Paarl and Franschhoek. This 70-hectare wine estate is family owned and managed by the Buys family since 1996. In 2005, they purchased a further 90-hectare farm called Casey’s Ridge in Elgin. This allows grapes to be harvested from both a mild and cool climate with various soils, and bring those grapes back to the Vrede en Lust Estate to make the magic happen.

Topiary Wine Estate occupies a gently sloping lower mountain slope at the Wemmershoek Mountain’s foothills, among the fynbos and fauna of Franschhoek Wetlands, bordered on the North and South by low sandstone ridges. The estate greatly benefits from the surrounding mountain ranges (Hottentots Holland and Simonsberg) which form a wind-generating funnel that cools the vineyards, and results in even ripening and a pronounced elegance in the wines.
